The Cleveland Cavaliers just missed the playoffs during the 2003-04 season, which was Lebron’s rookie year. The Cavs finished the season 35–47, which subsequently put them in 9th place in the Eastern Conference. The Argentina team had several NBA players on it, including Manu Ginobili, Luis Scola, and Andres Nocioni.
Lebron and Team U.S.A would win gold 4 years later at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. He would also win another 4 years later at the 2012 Olympics in London.
