There have been many great players and many interesting characters who have played the game of baseball. We have put together a quiz, where you have to guess the MLB player. We will give you some background information about a specific player and you need to guess who you think it is.

Instructions: This will be in multiple choice format and you need to select the player that you think we are talking about. For example. We will say something like “This pitcher was known for his nickname: ‘Doc’. We would give you: Roy Halladay, Roger Clemens, Nolan Ryan and David Price as the possible options. You would select Roy Halladay and move on to the next question.

Trivia Questions And Answers
1) He is the only player in baseball history to throw two consecutive no-hitters, doing so in 1938
Johnny Vander Meer is the only player in baseball history to throw two straight no-hitters. He did so as a member of the Cincinnati Reds in 1938. The first one came on June 11th, 1938 against the Boston Bees. The second one came on June 15th, 1938 against the Brooklyn Dodgers.
2) This outfielder played over 1,400 games with the Cardinals, Braves, Dodgers, and Rangers. Before this, he briefly played as a Defensive Back in the NFL
Brian Jordan played over 1,400 games with the St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Texas Rangers
Before his MLB career began, he played in the NFL as a safety for the Atlanta Falcons.
3) He pitched a Perfect Game in 2012 as a member of the Chicago White Sox
Philip Humber pitched a perfect game on April 21st, 2012. As a member of the Chicago White Sox, Humber was able to shut out the Seattle Mariners for the 21st Perfect Game in MLB history.
4) This player was known by the nickname: “Mr. October”
Reggie Jackson was known by his nickname “Mr October”. This was because of Jackson’s brilliance in the postseason. This Hall of Famer played for the Oakland Athletics, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, and California Angels. He won 5 World Series titles and was the World Series MVP twice.
5) This player was known by a handful of nicknames, including “Mr. November”
The answer is Derek Jeter. This came after he hit a walk-off home run in the 2001 World Series, after the clock struck midnight on November 1st.

Bobby Thomson is responsible for hitting “Shot Heard ‘Round the World” in 1951. Thomson hit the game-winning home run during the NL pennant game. His 3-run bomb helped the New York Giants come from behind and defeat the Brooklyn Dodgers in the ninth inning.
7) He pitched a Perfect game in 1991 as a member of the Montreal Expos.
Dennis Martínez pitched a Perfect game in 1991 for the Expos. This came on July 28th, 1991 in a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. This was the 13th Perfect game in the history of the majors.
8) This Hall of Fame pitcher went on to become a member of the United States Senate, representing Kentucky.
Jim Bunning was a pitcher who played 16 seasons for the Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Los Angeles Dodgers in his career. As a member of the Phillies, Bunning pitched a Perfect game on June 21st, 1964 against the New York Mets.
After his playing career was over, he got into politics. He ended up serving as the Senator for Kentucky from 1999 to 2011. Before that, he served in the U.S. House of Representatives.
9) He was the first player to make $1 million in a single year in baseball
Nolan Ryan was the first baseball player to make a million dollars in a single year. This came after he signed a 4 year contract worth $4.5 million on November 19th, 1979.
10) This player hit 70 home runs in 1998
Mark McGwire hit 70 home runs in 1998. Samy Sosa was a close second that year, hitting 66 dingers.
