1) Which team did Drew Brees play for in College?
Drew played four years for the Purdue Boilermakers of the Big 10 conference. He became the starter during his Freshman season and never gave up the job. He finished his career at Purdue with 90 touchdown passes and over 11,000 yards. As a result, Drew will surely go down as one of the best players in the history of Purdue.
2) Which team did Drew and the Purdue Boilermakers lose to in the 2001 Rose Bowl (Drew’s Senior season)?
The University of Washington Huskies defeated the Purdue University Boilermakers 34–24 in the 2001 Rose Bowl. Drew has two touchdown passes in his final college football game.
3) Which round did Drew get selected in the 2001 NFL Draft?
Drew was selected by the San Diego Chargers as the first pick of the second round (32nd overall). He was the second quarterback in the draft selected behind Michael Vick. It is safe to say that Brees had a much better career but Vick was still a big star for a time. Other big names from this draft class include LaDainian Tomlinson, Leonard Davis, Richard Seymour, and Santana Moss. It will be between Brees and Tomlinson in the debate for who is the greatest player to come out of this draft class.
4) How many times did the San Diego Chargers make the playoffs in Drew Brees’ 5 years with the team?
The Chargers made the playoffs once during Brees’ time with the team. They lost in the first round of the 2004 NFL Playoffs to the New York Jets. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots went on to win the Super Bowl that year.
5) How far did the New Orleans Saints go in the playoffs in Drew Brees’ first season with the team? (2006–07)

6) Brees won the NFL comeback player of the year award in 2004. What injury did he return from?
This was a trick question as Brees was never injured. He came back from a poor season from the year before. Usually, the award comes from a return from injury but Brees is one of the rare award winners that was just coming off bad play.
7) When was the first season that Brees won the NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award?
Brees won the NFL Offensive Player of the Year for the first time in 2008. He also won the award for the second time in 2011.
8) How many touchdowns did Drew Brees score in the Saints win in Super Bowl XLIV?
Brees threw for two touchdowns in the Saints win against the Colts. He also had 288 yards passing in the game and was named MVP. The Saints won the game, 31 to 17. This was the first Super Bowl win for the Saints.
9) Drew Brees scored seven touchdown passes in an NFL game back in 2015. Which team was this against?
Drew Brees became just the eighth quarterback in NFL history to throw for seven touchdowns in a single game. This was in a 52–49 win against the New York Giants. The only players to do it before Brees were: Sid Luckman, Adrian Burk, George Blanda, Y. A. Tittle, Joe Kapp, Peyton Manning, and Nick Foles.
10) True Or False: Brees wore #9 for Purdue
This is false as Drew wore #15 as a member of Purdue. He changed to the number #9 when he moved over the San Diego Chargers and kept the number when he moved over to the New Orleans Saints.
